Miracle Dog

I took this photo last time we were home. Luke was sleeping in Lo's spot on the couch, so he settled for sleeping at Lukie's feet.
Meelo got hit by a car a week ago, but Joel is always telling me how tough he is and Joel was right. The car threw Lo about 10 feet and then ran him over, Meelo got up and ran into our yard. They rushed him to the vet and he had a half collapsed lung and broken ribs. He spent the night at the vet and we were all just praying he could live through the night, but the vet was optimistic he would recover. The next morning Joel and Dad stopped at the vet to see how he was and they heard his collar jingling and out he walked. They couldn't believe he as alive and walking. Lo came home that night and has been making great leeps and bounds. His lung reinflated and he's doing great. What a miracle. Meelo has been such a special part of our family and so special to my parents and especially Joel. God gave us pets for a reason I believe and Lo was meant to live longer... thank goodness. I can't wait to see Mr. Lickerton when I get home:)
