Thankful Heart

Tonight as I was tucking Luke into bed my heart just felt like it would overflow. Luke, When will I get used to looking at your soft litte nose, or get used to your sweet hands reaching up to pull me close so we can cuddle as you drift off to sweet dreams. When will I get used to those endless blue eyes. Each day I look forward to the moments when you will call me mommy in your sweet voice, or when you get busy playing and start saying "deedle, deedle, deedle" I love when you sit at the piano and sing, and when you run with all your might across the room with your little football tucked under arm, just to dive into the beanbag and yell touchdown. How have you been in my life for 20 months and yet I still feel that I am just getting used to some of the things you do. Today as I think of the millions of things I have to be thankful for I think of people who were never blessed with a child and am extra grateful that I have been, and a wonderfully happy little boy at that. I am thankful for you my sweet son!!

And yes readers I'm thankful for many other things and really getting excited for our little girl to arrive. Today I've actually felt a little weird, but maybe I just ate too much:) Coy and I had a wonderful day together with Luke. Coy made a turkey and I made some side items, we had a lovely little feast, enjoyed a nap, put up our Christmas tree. It's actually nice to just spend some quality time with each other, no where to rush off to or get dressed up or a need to leave the house, just a nice day to be with each other, and we still have 3 more days together... yeah!
Now I need to go... Coy and I are going to play Rock Band on our Wii I love holidays!!
