Dreams
A couple of weeks ago we took Luke to the beach. He was very brave. He would walk right into the water and just stand and then started to splash, and then would run back into the sand. He even took off once across the sand because he saw a ball and of course he thought he needed it. We packed a picnic and enjoyed playing by the water and eating our lunch. It was fun for me as I was sitting back and watching Coy and Luke play. I can remember thinking when I was young, who will I marry, what will it be like to have kids and will I ever get to experience these things? I have both now, and it brought tears to my eyes to see my sweet husband playing and interacting with my little boy. They are both such blessings to me. We headed to our local library last week, and a lot of things these days make me want to cry, yes going to the library was one of them. I think it was mostly hormones, but I think some of it too was just experiencing the children's area with Luke and then we went to a little show about Wolves, that was kind of wild and above our heads, but we went anyway for a little bit. There are so many great expriences I've waited to share with my child and now I am and I love it.
Our pastor has been preaching on living Radically Different, an awesome series. He pointed out many statistics that show Christians live like the rest of the world, for example we have the same divorice rate as non Christians and he had several other examples, (No he's not saying that all divorices are bad) but how as Christians are we living a different life and standing out in this world from those around us? We are to be the light and LIVE differently, yes it means having extra patience or not going to certain movies, or saying certain things, it means so much, and doing those things really can stand out in this world. I have found it great to think about and try to act upon. It's easy just to go with the flow.
Anyway, there are some thoughts that have been swimming around in my head. Luke is still sleeping and it's 9:30am. The past couple of nights he has been waking up at about 2 or 4 and comes and sleeps with us, then he sleeps in, which I like, but have to keep checking on him as our bed is very high up and I don't want him to wake up and fall out, usually he just calls "ma" then I know he's awake, it's super cute.
Have a great day!!!
