5 months have passed

I can't believe how quickly time go. I was looking at my last post and seeing how tiny Emry was, she is now 7 months old. The pictures are from her 6 month photo shoot. I have been enjoying Luke and Emry so much. I was afraid having them close together would be too overwhelming, but their age difference for me is perfect. It has been fun to have one kid who can run, play, and do all the things a 2 year old does and then some with Luke, he is a busy busy guy. I do my best to get him outside a lot to burn energy, as if he is cooped up in the house too long, he just starts getting bored and that never goes well:) Emry is a bubbly little ball of joy. She is such a happy girl and super sweet. She LOVES Luke. He is great to entertain her and always wants to hold her and play with her. I feel blessed to be with them each day. I am realizing it is good to get a break and time to myself, even if it is a quick run here or there. It helps me to be a less frazzled mom:)
We planned a fun weekend in Wyoming for the 4th of July to enjoy some time with all of Coy's family. Coy's mom has been battling lung cancer and was diagnosed in April. She was not feeling well just before we arrived and unfortunately she passed away very quickly on July 2. It has been a huge shock to all of us. We all had felt like her cancer treatments were going really well and she was getting good results. It is hard to think of the future without her. She loved being a grandma so much and it is difficult knowing that we will raise our kids and she will not be here and our kids are so young, for the most part they won't remember her. I heard something on the radio the other day though that has been helpful, our life here on earth is not the end, our "life" is about so much more including the life God has for us in heaven after this. It was encouraging, I know God has a plan for us, and that plan includes moving on into the next life and He has created us for a purpose in heaven too!
I think now I will play with Emry, she is always up at 7am, ready to play, so I'm off to start my day. Take Care
